01 — BOARD OVERSIGHT
Trusted World's Board of Directors provides oversight of the organization, its leadership, finances, policies, and long-term direction.
Board members bring professional experience and community perspective while carrying the fiduciary responsibility that comes with governing a nonprofit organization.
Their role is not to manage the daily operation. Their role is to make sure the organization is being responsibly led and remains focused on its mission.
02 — LEADERSHIP & OPERATIONS
Trusted World's leadership team is responsible for turning the organization's mission and strategic direction into daily operations.
That includes managing people, resources, technology, partnerships, finances, logistics, risk, and the systems required to serve the network.
Keeping governance and management responsibilities clear allows the Board to govern while giving leadership the authority and accountability necessary to operate effectively.
03 — FINANCIAL OVERSIGHT
Trusted World's financial practices include budgeting, internal controls, board oversight, financial reporting, and independent review.
The Board receives financial information throughout the year and is responsible for oversight of the organization's financial health and stewardship.
Independent audits and financial documents provide another layer of accountability and allow donors, partners, and the community to evaluate the organization for themselves.
04 — POLICIES & RESPONSIBILITY
Policies establish the boundaries, responsibilities, and controls necessary to protect the organization, the people it serves, its partners, donors, volunteers, employees, and resources.
Trusted World maintains governance and organizational policies appropriate to its responsibilities and reviews them as the organization and its operating environment change.
